Built 1880. Exhibition presents colourful History of Theatre in Whitby. Guided tour behind the scenes to restricted access areas, with well preserved original features. Small groups only (consultation of leaflet essential).
Special Exhibition for the centenary of the death of the Rev. Francis Hayden Williams
Francis Hayden Williams was a well known character in the Whitby of his day. He had a strong sense of civic right and justice and was often a thorn in the flesh of the authorities of the time.
He was a one man Whitby Civic Society and Whitby Civic Society of to-day looks forward to the exhibition and the talk by the Rev Margaret Kirk
